Through its annual conference and performances, MSA fosters cultural pride, elevates musical excellence, and ensures accessibility to high-quality arts programming. The event not only strengthens the mariachi community but also contributes to New Mexico’s cultural tourism and economic vitality.

The cinematic anthems “I’m Alright” from “Caddyshack,” “Danger Zone” from “Top Gun” and “Footloose” all have one thing in common—singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins. With 25 million albums and two GRAMMY Awards under his belt, Loggins has left a musical imprint on the soundtrack of our lives both as a solo artist and as a member of rock-duo Loggins & Messina.
Loggins became the first major rock star to dedicate himself to recording music for children and families. With the core belief that “every child should experience the healing power of music,” he regularly lends his musical talent to support youth-based programs like Make a Wish, Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, and Little Kids Rock. Loggins is a recipient of the ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award and The Guild of Music Supervisors Icon Award.
His gift for crafting deeply emotional and memorable music is unparalleled. In 2021, Loggins released “At The Movies”—a Record Store Day exclusive vinyl that included some of his career-spanning soundtrack hits for the first time ever on one album.
In 2022 and more than 35 years since its original release, “Danger Zone” will be part of the sequel “Top Gun: Maverick.”
